• Meets with the Rector weekly about music and related details of the services. Develops an artistic interpretation of the music for the services for both the organ music as well as the choir music selecting music that best meet the needs of the choir and congregation.
• Direct the Senior Choir. This includes weekly rehearsals, generally 30 minutes of rehearsal directly after each 9:30 Sunday service. Create and lead a Junior Choir which will rehearse during the week and perform during special services.
• The Organist/Choir Director has first refusal rights at all church weddings, funerals and other extra-liturgical services not included in regular salary.
• In consultation with the Rector, the Organist/Choir Director is responsible for providing substitutes.

COMPENSATION AND VACATION:
• Salary is competitive, based on guidelines as established by the American Guild of Organists.
• Total compensated time commitment is approximately 10 hours per week.
• Compensated vacation time is four (4) Sundays to be taken outside of key church dates.

CONTINUING EDUCATION:
• The Organist/Choir Director is to pursue continuing education related to music and liturgy.
• The Rector is to provide sufficient information and opportunities for this continuing education and make available conference attendance toward this end as budgetary considerations allow.
