Music Minister The full- time Music Minister shall report and be guided by the Senior Pastor. He must have the following requirements: - Be a minister with musical gifts - Speak fluent English (know how to speak Chinese is a plus) - Bible College or Seminary graduate in Music is preferred - Serve in previous church leadership positions conducting musical activities - Adaptable team player - Ability to disciple and mentor Responsibilities include: 1. plan and guide the music ministry with the Senior Pastor and/or deacon for the whole church 2. plan the worship service with the pastor and/or the Worship Committee 3. guide and lead congregational singing 4. supervise the conducting of the choirs in general, namely, the Adult Choirs and Chinese Choir if possible 5. supervise and guide the praise teams in the English worship 6. arrange any special music for regular services 7. arrange and/or conduct the music for revivals and special meetings 8. arrange and conduct music for special music programs 9. be responsible for maintaining the upkeep of church instruments 10. encourage choir members to participate in regular worship services, especially on Sunday morning and special services 11. build an annual budget for the music program 12. purchase music materials and supplies within budget allocations 13. plan together with the staff for a more effective total church ministry 14. seek opportunities for professional growth and to participate in conferences sponsored by state convention or association at his discretion 15. perform any other music ministry that leads to glorify the Lord and edify His people in our midst 16. other duties assigned by Senior Pastor
