Cornerstone Church of Johnstown PA began in November 2002 with four families who had a heart and desire to glorify God and grow disciples. Since then our attendance on Sunday has grown to an average of 50 people, mostly younger families with children, and has become a fast growing church with a vibrant congregation. Our worship team plays a blend of contemporary (80%) and traditional (20%) music. Our doctrine is similar to what you would find at Dallas Theological Seminary or Moody. This is a new church that has great potential. The pastor that started our church feels he is called to be a traveling evangelist and has since vacated the position of Senior Pastor.
Johnstown’s great need for the preaching and teaching of God’s Word was the main factor in the formation of Cornerstone. In our area conservative evangelical Christians have very few options when it comes to choice of churches. Many of our members were drawn to Cornerstone because of the difficulty in finding Biblical based teaching, worship and fellowship. We ask that you seek God’s direction as you consider our church.
