POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position: Church Administrator
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
A. Accountable to Senior Pastor and Advisory Board
B. Responsible for Admin Team, Facility Manager, A/V Director, Bookkeeper, and teams associated with the position (see below).
SCOPE
A. Responsible for assisting the Senior Pastor in overseeing the life and purpose of the church, to include the execution of Cherrydale’s strategy for pursuing its vision; aligning key leadership teams with the mission of the church; and providing leadership to the congregation.
B. Responsible for the daily administration of Cherrydale’s finances, physical plant, office and schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. A person who exhibits the character qualities outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Peter 5:1-4, and Acts 6:4
B. Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
C. Demonstrated ability and experience in leadership, strategic planning
D. Administration, human resource manager, finances (budget preparation and bookkeeping), and hardware/software technology.
E. Be a member of the church
F. Summary:
1. A good track record of walking with God (consistent spiritual disciplines, passion for God, solid home life, good character)
2. Solid experience of working with people/teams to carry out a vision (solid Christ focused leadership, good listener, equipper, motivator, and example)
3. A good balance of love and truth – more fear of God than fear of man
4. Ability in administration (working with budgets, multiple groups and teams to work together to fulfill a mission)
5. Someone who is one heart with the Senior Pastor in terms of our vision and core values
DUTIES:
A. Administration and Operations
1. Oversee and execute the daily operations of the church, ensuring the completion of all business, facility, and logistical functions
2. Staff member assigned to be Building and Renovation Design Team (BRDT), and support the ongoing activities of the Building Project.
3. Serve as staff member assigned to Trustee board (non-voting position).
4. Ensure ongoing review, development, and implementation of Board approved policies and procedures.
5. Assist and at times oversee teams:
i. Radio Team
ii. Search Teams
iii. Web Page Team
B. Management and Supervision of Admin Team
C. Finance/Logistics
1. Serve as chief financial officer, facilitate Budget and Salary Review committee in development of annual budget.
2. Sign and distribute weekly checks prepared by the bookkeeper; ensure accuracy of checks to payment requests.
3. Plan and draft annual budget in partnership with the Budget and Salary Review Team, Pastors and Ministry leaders.
4. Administrative support for church plants and ministries.
5. Oversee and execute Cherrydale’s Budget
D. General Duties
1. Participate in weekly Staff/Pastor meetings
2. Maintenance and annual archiving of church files
3. All other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor
