Upper Burrell, Pennsylvania 15068First Baptist Church (independent) of Upper Burrell, Pa is seeking a full-time Minister of Music with experience in children’s ministries as well. We currently run a blended style Worship service for Sunday morning.
Qualified candidates must have a background in music, basic technical knowledge, vocal and instrumental skills, and have experience and or interest for children’s ministries. A bachelor’s degree in music is desired.
We are looking for an individual that is both a spiritual leader and musician. It is our belief that the priority of the Minister of music is to shepherd those involved in our worship ministries, spiritually and musically.

· GENERAL WORSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership in preparing the worship /music component for all services at First Baptist church.
Work in collaboration with the pastoral staff in preparation of all worship services.
Be flexible in leading both traditional and blended style worship services.
Responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive music program.
· WEEKLY RESPONSIBLITIES
Maintain regular office hours as established by the senior pastor.
Attendance at weekly planning meeting of the pastoral staff.
Conduct weekly rehearsals of the adult choir and praise team.
Coordination for the music components of the sound system, bulletins, and power point presentations.
Oversee the care of the church music library and musical instruments.
Schedule various guest musical groups throughout the year.
Begin the development of various group music ministries such as youth choirs, trios, quartets, praise band, etc.
Provide special music during the a.m. service each week.
Select congregational music and lead the singing at all weekly services in cooperation with the senior pastor.

. SUPERVISION OF PERSONAL
Provide direction to the church organist and pianist.
Find adequate replacement musicians when the organist/ pianist are unable to attend regular worship services.
· OTHER RESPONSIBLITES
Run and facilitate children’s Awana program on Wednesday nights.
Organize and lead occasional Awana meetings and Awana activities.
Assume other responsibilities (such as visitation) as determined by the senior pastor.
· BELIEFS
The successful candidate must be passionate about worship and children’s ministries.
The successful candidate must be in agreement with the “Statement of Faith” of First Baptist Church .
