First United Methodist Church (FUMC) of Montgomery, AL is seeking a dedicated Youth Director to continue its growing youth ministry. This person will be responsible for guiding the development of a comprehensive educational and spiritual growth program for youth, encouraging commitment to Christ and His church through their increased participation in a variety of faith-development and fellowship activities. Such activities will seek to create and develop a sense of belonging and celebrate life in Christ among youth in our 3,500 member congregation.

The Director of Youth Ministries should have an understanding and appreciation of Methodist theology. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, spiritually grounded and approachable as they lead and plan youth programs and activities and coordinate an active group of adult volunteers. Experience in education or youth ministry a plus, but not required.
