Duties include:
Explore curricula at all age levels for possible use in each new year
Recruit, schedule and assist teaching teams at each grade level
Maintain data-base for communication with students & parents
Order supplies
Schedule & participate in service projects as well as retreat weekends
Work with staff and parents on special activities: e.g., Christmas/Easter Plays
Interview and hire nursery attendants as needed
Ensure Nursery is a safe, clean, caring, happy environment
Purchase supplies and new toys for nursery as needed.

Desired qualities:
Love for children and youth
Church going Christian- prefereence for Episcopalian or ELCA. Others may apply
Successful experience in youth work

Obviously, this job requires weekend work (Sundays each week, some Saturdays and holidays - Christmas and Easter). At St. James, "full-time" is defined as five days of work, totaling not less than 38 hours per week. The successful candidate will establish regular work hours in consultation with the rector.
