Required:

• Ability to communicate well with staff and volunteers
• Organizational skills
• Basic computer skills: Word, excel
• A belief in the importance of children in the life of a church
• Ability to provide support, training and encouragement to volunteer staff
• Ability to recruit volunteers

• A team player that understands how all ministries work together to provide for the needs of everyone in the congregation yet advocates strongly for children and their families.
• Detail-oriented.
Primary Responsibilities
• Recruitment of Sunday School teachers and other children’s ministry volunteers
• Training and support of teachers and volunteers
• Choosing and purchase of curriculum for school-year and summer Sunday school classes
• Communication with volunteers about events, policies, and responsibilities as they relate to the children’s program
• Communication with staff, session and Children’s Committee about events, policies and responsibilities as they relate to the general working of the church
• Communication and promotion of Children’s Ministry to parents and church body through weekly bulletin announcements, monthly newsletter articles, direct mail, email, etc.
