Summary of position:
Church on the Hill is prayerfully seeking an energetic and creative Music Pastor who has a passion for connecting people from all generations and cultures to discover the depths of God using culturally relevant music and media resources. The candidate must be able to authentically lead the congregation through a worship experience that is theologically correct and Biblically sound. The candidate must be gifted at encouraging people to discover Gods presence through music and media in our Sunday services, particularly as the lead vocalist. The candidate will also be able to inspire people to engage at increasingly deeper levels of participation in worship, and complement the teaching of Gods Word to deliver a seamless and purposeful worship experience.Job description:

The Music Pastor reports to the Senior Pastor and supervises all that happens in the Sunday services. The candidate must:
Have a passion for the modern worship setting
Provide theologically accurate music and arts
Have skills in leadership and creative worship
Effectively communicate and minister with Gen-Xers and Millenium Gen.
Work well in a team-approach to ministry
Provide leadership and vision for all weekly worship services alongside the program team.
Report directly to the Senior Pastor and be an integral part of the pastoral leadership team
Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and prayer times
Develop and manage music and arts ministry budget
Will either supervise or work in conjunction the media producer and tech director
Continually recruit, train, and develop volunteers in the music ministry

Requirements:
Bachelors degree
5 years experience in leading worship
Experience working on a program team for service development
Experience with recruiting, training and developing volunteer musicians and singers
Music reading proficiency, instrumental proficiency and vocal proficiency
Must be theologically groun
