Chaengwattana Community Church (CCC) is located in the expatriate community of Nichada Thani which is on the northern outskirts of Bangkok, Thailand. While our local area has a high percentage of people who would identify themselves as Christians, the religious demographic of Thailand is well over 90% Buddhist. There are many active mission groups working within the country and CCC maintains close relationships with several of these organizations. The current church facilities were constructed in 2002 and they include a sanctuary, classrooms, kitchen, and offices. The Nichada Thani community is focused on supporting expatriate needs and includes Western style housing and amenities. The congregation consists mainly of English speaking expatriates representing many different nationalities and Christian faiths. Most of the expatriates are posted in Thailand for a defined period of time leading to relatively consistent turnover in the congregational makeup. With this in mind, CCC is seeking a new pastor, able to deal with the wide range of challenges resulting from this constantly changing cross-cultural nondenominational congregation.
